Independence

Independence can be experienced differently depending on your context.
At 13, independence might have been ordering and paying for your own coffee while out with friends.
At 43, it might be the ability to wake up, make a quiet coffee by yourself, and enjoy it undisturbed.

The experience of independence is influenced by your current context and subject to your brain’s
emotionally-influenced interpretation of autonomy.

There is a constant factor that remains true in the establishment of any sort of independence.
Independence is dependent upon reciprocal support from the community around you.

You do not independently become a great leader.
When celebrating your independence, remember that you are acknowledging those who gave you the space to stand up in the first place.
Great leaders come from great teams.
