The outlook and plans for 2026 are high and you are vigorously organizing and strategizing to hit the ground running come January.
There are, of course, two problems with that statement.
2025 is unfinished and amidst your dreams of 2026 planning you are trying to finish the year.
2026 is an unknown and your years of experience tell you that even your best strategy will likely change by February.
The end of year closing of loops and prep for picking up new ones creates a challenging tension to navigate.
Your brain’s drive for certainty will crave dotting every “i” and crossing every “t.”
Slow down.
Define what needs to be dotted to close 2025, and prioritize what is worth strategizing around for 2026 (hint: not everything).
Everything else can wait.
Your team will thank you for alleviating the pressure of trying to do all the things all at once.
