Ready

After listening to thousands of leaders reflect on innumerable challenges and experiences, one theme consistently emerges.
You will never feel absolutely ready for your biggest moments (or your medium ones, too).
The other theme is that once you have the space to reflect, you will often realize you were better prepared than you thought.

If you do not feel ready you are not alone.
As a leader your job is not to make your team ready.
It is to prepare them with the skills and mechanisms for thinking to perform when tested.

An absolute state of readiness is veiled perfection.
True readiness is the ability to eliminate the distractions that hinder your attention towards unexpected variables that emerge during performance.
