Responsibility

Taking responsibility does not mean ensuring failure cannot occur.
Taking responsibility also does not mean you directly complete every aspect of a task.
The act of taking responsibility is a process of identifying what is within your control, as well as what is beyond it.

As a leader, a sneaky habit can form around taking responsibility for things that are not yours in order to avoid discomfort for others.
This is well-intentioned, but leads to long-term breakdowns.
Taking responsibility as a leader is often less about doing something and more about establishing expectations, accountability, and boundaries.
