No

There are a lot of pithy bumper-sticker calibre mottos around the role of your “no.”
Your yes is only as good as your no.
Your ability to say yes is contingent upon your commitment to say no.

The underlying premise is a great reminder.
Saying no is as much of an action as saying yes, and oftentimes one that is more important.
The problem is, it is rarely as simple and binary as a yes or no.

Saying no could mean compromising a value of responsibility.
The hard work for a leader is less about the yes or no answer.
It is about reconciling competing values, beliefs, and actions.

Your team needs you to say no.
Your brain needs you to do the work where your act of, “no”, does not create a reality where your beliefs
contradict your actions.
